Crisis in Venezuela and International Criminal Justice

The Latin America Research Centre (Latin-Amerika Kutatóközpont / Centro de Investigaciones Sobre América Latina) and the Department of Global and Development Studies of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest, have the pleasure of inviting you to the next lecture of the public lecture series "Latin America in the 21st century", titled:

CRISIS IN VENEZUELA AND INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE

Our speaker will be Orlando Viera-Blanco, Venezuelan lawyer and former diplomat. His lecture will focus on the background of the Venezuelan crisis, and the role of the international community and the International Criminal Court in relation to the political processes in Venezuela.

An introduction to the lecture will be delivered by Béla Soltész (Eötvös Loránd University, Department of Global and Development Studies).

 

Venue: Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Social Sciences, Lágymányos Campus (1117 Budapest, Pázmány Péter sétány 1/A, Northern Building, 7th floor, Room 7.14.)

The event will be held in English, with no translation. The event is free of charge and open to the public. No previous registration is necessary.
